This blog is my portal — a place where all my works, writings, and paths converge.
I was born in Portugal and have walked the hidden roads of the occult for over twenty-six years, exploring many magical systems and weaving their threads into my own practice. Along this journey, I have authored eBooks and paperbacks in several languages, each one forged from direct experience and tested in the crucible of real ritual.
I chose the pseudonym Asamod, but most self-publishing platforms and publishers require a surname. I selected Ka — the Kemetic term for vital energy or the fluidic body — and so Asamod Ka was born.
Asamod is a variable of "Asmodeus", but in Hebrew, Asamod means "to destroy", and in Persian Azmonden means "to try" or "to test".
I chose the name for the vibration and to symbolize that I intend to break/destroy old paradigms.
The real root of the term is "Aeshma-daeva", a demon from Persian mythology in Zoroastrianism who was full of fury and lust, but who was also sometimes thought of as "the shining angel," because he was so bright and beautiful. Some interpret daēva as "demon", but it is inaccurate, in Hinduism, devas are divine spirits, in Persian mythology, not all daēva were negative.
My eBooks are priced affordably (usually $8 or $9), in contrast to the many pseudo-mages who sell AI-generated, low-quality texts — often filled with dubious “satanic pacts” and shallow content — for hundreds of dollars.
In my books, you will find only original content — not echoes from other grimoires — and rituals written to be understood, practiced, and lived, whether you are taking your first step or deepening an existing path.
In my books, I like to introduce American readers to European witchcraft, Afro-Brazilian witchcraft, and Latin witchcraft. I enjoy having my own ideas, challenging the established norms (for example, Jewish occult grimoires), and breaking paradigms. As the chaos mage knows, anything can be reinvented or adapted, as long as it works.
